What Boca Raton Boaters Say

"Amazing experience, I'm a local guy and have been renting boats once in a while in Pompano Beach and that was one of the best experience I had, the owner was very nice, everything was ready when we showed up, the boat was really nice. He provided ice for us and a cooler, he was waiting for us at the dock when we arrived and the price was very competitive. Strongly recommend."

"Nothing but good things to say about Roadrunner Boat Rental. Cristiano made the whole process of me taking my family on a really great afternoon boat right. He was on time, the boat was clean and ready to go. He took the time to teach me how to manage the boat and even suggested some great areas to visit. Highly recommend him for your next boat rental."
Scott Siegel
"Excellent communication!! Extremely clear on instructions! Very conscientious on safety! Price was very reasonable and we had a blast!! Great outing for the family to boat thru the canal and swim around the sand bar after anchoring."

Where Can You Go on a Boca Raton Boat Rental?

A Boca Raton boat rental gives you easy access to some of South Florida's most enjoyable protected waterways, from Lake Boca and its popular sandbar to scenic stretches of the Intracoastal Waterway.

Boats anchored at the Lake Boca sandbar in Boca Raton

Lake Boca Sandbar

The shallow, protected lagoon in front of the Boca Raton Resort. It's the go-to weekend stop for swimming, floating and social boating with a group.

Boca Raton Inlet

The inlet sits at the south end of Lake Boca. Conditions there change with tide and wind, so we'll tell you on the day whether it's worth a look or better to stay inside.

Hillsboro Inlet & Lighthouse

A scenic run south past Hillsboro Beach and Lighthouse Point. Best suited to 8-hour rentals so you're not rushing the return trip.

Deerfield & Delray

The Intracoastal runs north to Delray Beach and south to Deerfield Beach — good options for a 4-hour cruise with a dock-and-dine stop.

Pontoon Boat Rentals

Roadrunner rents pontoons. They're the right boat for what most people come to Boca Raton to do: anchor at the sandbar, swim, and cruise the Intracoastal at an easy pace. Flat deck, wide walkways, shaded seating, a cooler and room for up to 8 passengers. They're also the simplest boat type to learn on, which matters if it's your first time behind the wheel.

Center consoles and motor yachts are common in Boca Raton generally, but they are not part of our fleet — we'd rather be clear about that than take a booking we can't deliver. If you want the details on our boats, see pontoon boat rental in Boca Raton.

Self-Drive or Captained Boat Rental?

Our standard rental is self-drive. You get a full orientation at the dock — controls, anchoring, no-wake zones, where to go and where not to — and we stay reachable by phone while you're out. No prior boating experience is required, and first-timers do this every week.

If your group would rather not drive, call 561-629-1108 and we'll go over captain options before you book. You can also read more about self-drive rentals or captained trips.

Planning a Lake Boca Sandbar Day

Lake Boca is busiest on weekends and holidays, and the water is shallow enough that where you anchor matters. Groups that leave earlier in the day generally find more room and calmer water. Four hours is the sweet spot: enough time to cruise up, anchor, swim and eat without watching the clock. Eight hours works better if you also want to run south toward Hillsboro Inlet or stop for lunch.

Bring sunscreen, towels and your own food and drinks — the cooler and floating mat are already on board. For a longer read, see the Ultimate Lake Boca Guide or our sandbar boat rentals.
